Plan on about 24 inches of table edge per person. That fits a plate, a glass and elbows without bumping the next chair.
How much room you need
Add 72 inches to the table diameter to get the minimum room width. That is 36 inches on each side, enough to pull out a chair and walk behind it.
Tight minimum: 30 inches on a side that faces a wall nobody walks past.
